Ernest Tavares grew up on the foothills of Mauna Kea in the small town of Waimea, on Hawaii Island. He began experimenting with photography at the age of 14 and it did not take long before it became his passion.
He honed his photography skills by taking classes throughout high school and working for a local Hilton Resort as an event photographer. While his interests are diverse, Ernest's favorite subject to photograph is his home, Hawaii.
Upon completing high school, Ernest moved to Philadelphia where he currently pursuing a degree in Economics with a focus on marketing at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. Photography is still one of his greatest passions.
